Helios Medical Equipment was created based upon my experience working as a manufacturer representative for a national compression company. In my former position, I visited physicians, therapists, and medical supply stores from Panama City to Naples. I wanted to create a retail experience that combined the best aspects of what I had observed during my visits.
Helios Medical Equipment sells, rents, and repairs home medical equipment: wheelchairs, walkers, knee walkers, scooters, home hospital beds, and lift chairs. Other products we sell include: ADL (aids for daily living), bath safety products, cushions, canes, wound care supplies, incontinence supplies, diagnostic equipment and pain management supplements. We also possess the areas largest and most comprehensive compression solutions inventory in the Tampa Bay area for vascular, lymphatic, and orthopedic compression therapy products.

After graduating University of South Florida, I spent one more year in the hospitality industry before entering a career in sales. For the next seventeen years, I worked for two different companies selling wine/spirits and then hotel & lodging supplies. Desiring a career change, I accepted a position in medical sales for Medi USA.
Working for Medi USA was a very rewarding experience. I was trained extensively in compression products, interacting with physicians (vascular related), wound care centers, and lymphedema rehab centers. I trained employees in medical supply stores, helped directly with patients, and coordinated continuing education courses for therapists with Medi’s Lymphedema & Wound Care education team during my time with Medi USA.
Twenty two years in sales is a long time to be on the road. I am passionate about helping people so I wanted to find a solution to balance both. Thus, I envisioned the concept of opening a medical supply store. I spent my childhood in Carrollwood so I wanted to open a storefront to give back the community where I grew up. Thus, Helios Medical Equipment was established
and opened in June 2019.
