Personal Protective Equipment In Stock

The Importance of Personal Protective Equipment

While the Center for Disease Control (CDC) continues to examine the spread and effects of the Coronavirus, recent studies continue to show the importance of wearing face masks to prevent the spreading of the virus.

Your health and safety is our number one commitment at Helios Medical Equipment so in response to COVID-19 and the increased need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we are expanding our inventory to meet all your needs. We have worked hard to secure a partnership with a local supplier for consistent availability on masks.

Our Inventory

As we continue to update our website and blog with up to date information regarding our supplies, we are happy to share the list of available masks we carry at this time:

Surgical Masks. $1.50 each (Box of 50 for $50)
This is a blue rectangle mask with three pleats and ear loops.

KN95 Masks. $5 each (Box of 10 for $40)
This is an individual sealed flexible mask that features a bendable metal nose strip and attaches with ear loops.

N95 Masks. $7 each (Box of 10 for $60)
This mask is made from a more rigid material with loops on the top and bottom of the mask to wrap around the head and neck, instead of the ears. It also contains a bendable metal nose strip with foam padding that goes across the bridge of the nose on the inside of the mask.

N95 Masks with Face Visor. $14 each (Box of 10 for $120)
This is a transparent face shield that covers the eyes and forehead and easily attaches by two Velcro tabs to the N95 mask that is listed above.

Face Shield. $5 each
A face shield is an Isolation Protective Mask to protect the face from fluid splashing. The elastic strap wraps around the head and the foam strip fits comfortably across the forehead. The mask is covered with easy to remove protective film to prevent scratching

The Difference Between N95 and KN95

There has been a lot of confusion in the marketplace regarding N95 and KN95 respirator masks and their differences. Both of these masks are FDA approved and during this time, both types including standard surgical masks are manufactured in China. While N95 masks meet the manufacturing standards set forth by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health the KN95 masks meet the Chinese manufacturing standards to capture particles just below the 95% threshold.

Hand Sanitizer and Gloves

If you are in need of hand sanitizer, we do have 8 fl oz bottles available in the store. As the rise for the need for gloves has increased at this time both vinyl and nitrile gloves continue to be inconsistent on availability so we recommend giving our store a call before planning your trip.

While we continue to work towards providing you with the best PPE possible and making sure our inventory includes all the essentials you need, our store is remaining open during normal business hours and we are working hard to keep our website and blog up to date with current information. For any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call we look forward to assisting you every step of the way!
